The Community Foundation Martin – St. Lucie
The Community Foundation Martin – St. Lucie (TCFMSL) is proud to present multiple scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors and adults looking to upskill in a trade or vocation.
Training opportunities are available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). WIOA services are designed to help job seekers who need assistance with finding a job, changing careers, or obtaining the skills required to advance in their chosen field. Suitability is determined through an initial assessment to ensure the WIOA program aligns with your career goals, skills, and support needs.
The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties
In 2023, the Community Foundation awarded over $1.2 million dollars in scholarships to 116 students in Palm Beach and Martin Counties! They offer both need and merit-based scholarships. When filling out their general scholarship application, you will automatically be considered for over 120 scholarships.
Each year, the Mike Rowe Works Foundation gives away a modest pile of money through the Work Ethic Scholarship Program to help people get trained for skilled jobs that are in demand. They’ve proven that opportunities in the trades aren’t alternatives to viable careers – they are viable careers. Through this program, they encourage people to learn a useful skill, and they reward those who demonstrate that they’ll work their butts off.
Scholarships aren’t just for lawyers, doctors, and accountants anymore. In fact, they really haven’t been for quite some time. You might be surprised to learn just how many scholarships are available to students who plan to pursue careers more in the “vocational” areas.
